Deconstruction
Conference Identity System Design
Paris Modernization was started by Haussman in the late 1800’s. He deconstructs the medieval city of Paris in order to bring air and light to the center of the city, to unify the different neighborhoods with boulevards, and to make the city more beautiful.
Photographers such as Marville and Atget captured the old Paris before and during reconstruction in hopes of preserving the Paris they’ve always known. Since this conference is taking place in Paris, France I wanted this concept to explore the deconstruction aspect of Paris Modernization through typography and color that we use in design. Through breaking down typography and color we are able to reconstruct them into something new and unique as designers.
