Magazine Rebrand
Southern Living magazine is a staple for southern families, showcasing different recipes, people, vacationing spots, and much more. For this rebrand I wanted the magazine to feel similar to the classic southern lifestyle but a bit more modernized to reach the younger southern audience.
The article, written by Tracy Minkin, is highlighting some of the best island escapes in the south that readers should check out for vacations or maybe in their own city. I wanted to emphasize the photography by Peter Frank Edwards in different layouts and scales so the reader can get a feel for the island vibe.
Making the magazine accessible to readers on the go is something I also wanted to highlight, since technology is such a prevalent thing in our world today, the younger readers of Southern Living could very well be soaking in the island escapes from their tablet or phone.
